Pixar's “Finding Dory” welcomes back to the big screen everyone’s favorite forgetful blue tang Dory (voice of Ellen DeGeneres), who’s living happily in the reef with Marlin (voice of Albert Brooks) and Nemo (voice of Hayden Rolence). Here’s the official synopsis for Finding Dory:ĭisney Finding Dory opens in theaters on June 17th, and you can check out the new trailer right below. Written by Stanton and Victoria Strouse, the film also features the voices of Albert Brooks, Dominic West, Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, Bill Hader, and Kate McKinnon. Whether we're talking something as startlingly original as Toy Story 2 & 3 is yet to be seen, but I hold out hope for this one. There's an interesting story being outlined here, about how communities are often required to fill in for families, and how they are ultimately not all that different.Ĭoupled with Dory's origin story, this amps up anticipation for the Finding Nemo sequel, which looks better than Monsters Universityand will inevitably be more endurable than Cars 2. What's most pleasant about this trailer, however, is that it doesn't seem like this sequel will only be about the new additions and a rehashing of familiar plot points. ![]() Most notably, there's Idris Elba as Fluke the Sea Lion, who has one of the better jokes of the trailer when revealing why Sea Lions bark so much, and we also get to see the return of Crush, the helpful sea turtle voiced by Stanton himself. And frankly, that's just the tip of the iceberg of the list of new characters that are gleaned in this latest trailer.
